European Year of Youth 2022

European Year of Youth 2022

In September 2021, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen declared 2022 as the European Year of Youth. This landmark year will provide the opportunity to all of us to reflect on the future of youth and on the active participation of youth in the building of Europe.

What is the European Year of Youth

The European Year of Youth 2022 marks an opportunity for us all to turn the page and enter the post COVID-19 era full of hope and confidence.

Young people and the results of the European Programmes aiming to ensure their civic engagement are at the heart of the European Year of Youth, which showcases the importance of the European youth in the building of Europe and of a better future.

Throughout the year, young people from across Europe shall have the opportunity to:

  • participate in activities throughout Europe
  • share their vision and meet other people
  • acquire knowledge, skills and competences.
